Step 2 - Payment, Shipping and Tax

  1. Accept online and offline payments at your Summer Cart store
    Go to the Settings menu, under 'Modules' click on Payment link.



    You need to activate one or more payment modules so that your customers are able to conveniently pay for orders. See details and explanations in Payment modules topic.



    Summer Cart is integrated with the popular payment gateways 2CheckoutAuthorize.NetPayPal (Website Payments Standard)MoneybookersSage PayChronoPayRBS WorldpayHSBC, and, in addition, Google Checkout as a separate checkout method.. Store owners from Bulgaria can use the local payment systems ePay.bge-Borica and Transcart. Other payment methods are: credit cardcheck and Collect on Delivery.


  2. Set up shipping destinations and fees

    • First, you need to define WHERE you will ship products to.
      Go to the Settings menu, under 'Modules' click on Shipping Zones link.



      You need to create your own shipping zones. See details and explanations in Shipping zones topic.



    • Second, you need to define HOW you will ship products.
      Go to the Settings menu, under 'Modules' click on Shipping link.



      You need to activate one or more shipping modules so that your store automatically adds a relevant shipping fee to an order. See details and explanations in Shipping modules topic.

      You can select among the following modules - free shippingflat rate shippingtable based shipping and FedExUSPS and UPS shipping.  Summer Cart supports real-time shipping calculations for FedEx, USPS and UPS.


  3. Calculate tax charges
    Go to the Settings menu, under 'Locations and Taxes' click on Taxes link.



    If you sell taxable products, you need to set up all 4 components of a tax: specific tax type, tax classes, tax zones and tax rates. See details and explanations in Taxes topic.
